In recent times, the Society organised its Annual conference with different Universities and Institutions. Some of the Conferences of national importance are:
- National Conference on Family: Anthropological Perspectives and Dr. B. S. Guha Birth Centenary Celebration, in collaboration with Palli Charcha Kendra, Viswa-Bharati on December 10-12, 1994
- “Emerging Cultural and Ecological Issues of the Indian Tribes with special reference to North-East India” in collaboration with Palli Charcha Kendra, Viswa-Bharati and Anthropological Survey of India on February 18-20, 2000
- “Women’s Empowerment: Emerging Issues” in collaboration with Centre for Women’s Development Studies on April 21-22, 2001 at Jhargram
- “Rural Development: Biological and Social Indicators” in collaboration with Department of Anthropology, Vidyasagar University, Medinipur and Anthropological Survey of India on 19-21, 2002.
- “Problems of Sustainable Development: Tribal, Rural and Urban” in collaboration with Anthropological Survey of India on May16-18, 2003 at Jhargram, Medinipur
- “Man in Changing Environment: Regional Perspectives” in collaboration with Anthropological Survey of India on March 27-29, 2005 at New Digha, Medinipur
- “Human Development Dimensions Drive,Distortion And Dilemma” in collaboration with Tagore Society for Rural Development: Rangabelia(Gosaba) on November 21-23, 2008 at Rangabelia, , Sundarbans
- As a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebration a National Conference on Plural Nature of Anthropology was organized at Kolkata in collaboration with the Anthropological Survey of India and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manv Sangrahalaya, Bhopal on 23-26 November, 2010. The National Conference was inaugurated by the eminent scholar Dr. Sita Kant Mahapatra. Scholars of eminence like Professor/s Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, Sunil Munshi, Ravindra Kumar Jain, R.K.Mutatkar, Kisore K.Basa, Kamal Kant Misra and others from diverse disciplines and institutions were specially invited to deliver lectures. 25 papers were presented and discussed threadbare
- Golden Jubilee National Conference on the “Development of Anthropology in Two Distinct Time Frames: Independent and Post Independent Periods” held at Ranchi, on 17-19 December, in collaboration with the Department of Anthropology, Ranchi University, Ranchi. The seminar aimed at examining the development of the discipline of Anthropology in India right from its inception to its present form. In total 23 lead papers and 53 other papers were presented in the conference. A special session for the students who intended to present their papers in Hindi was arranged and more than 16 papers in Hindi were presented and discussed.
