As a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebration a National Conference on Plural Nature of Anthropology was organized at Kolkata in collaboration with the Anthropological Survey of India and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manv Sangrahalaya, Bhopal on 23-26 November, 2010. The National Conference was inaugurated by the eminent scholar Dr. Sita Kant Mahapatra. Scholars of eminence like Professor/s Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, Sunil Munshi, Ravindra Kumar Jain, R.K.Mutatkar, Kisore K.Basa, Kamal Kant Misra and others from diverse disciplines and institutions were specially invited to deliver lectures. 25 papers were presented and discussed threadbare
Golden Jubilee National Conference on the “Development of Anthropology in Two Distinct Time Frames: Independent and Post Independent Periods” held at Ranchi, on 17-19 December, in collaboration with the Department of Anthropology, Ranchi University, Ranchi. The seminar aimed at examining the development of the discipline of Anthropology in India right from its inception to its present form. In total 23 lead papers and 53 other papers were presented in the conference. A special session for the students who intended to present their papers in Hindi was arranged and more than 16 papers in Hindi were presented and discussed.
